Military: the populace is conscripted or hired to perform military service.  The army is very efficient in keeping the nomads and bandits in check.  In addition to the regular soldiery, are private forces of the nobility and clergy, plus the emperor's personal imperial forces.

Notes: - Ishtar Balacris and Anhur are the major deities' worshiped here Balcaris is the patron of the city of Zia. The land is large with many contrasts forest jungles, burning deserts, arid mountains and mighty rivers.  Abbashan is regarded throughout Erisa as a center of arts and learning and home of several prominent universities and colleges.  Slavery is rife and the cities and noble estates are filled with such folk.  Elsewhere the people are generally free and content, peasant or tribesmen but the former are peaceful and the latter fierce, so a division exists.  This keeps the agricultural mass in check and obedient to the aristocratic class.
